The team is based in New York City and the Bay Area, and they don't self-consciously refer to themselves as "the team" except when rocking their FanFeedr practice jerseys.

Ty Ahmad-Taylor - CEO, Founder

  • As CEO and founder, Ty brings over fifteen years' experience in interactive media and journalism to provide the overall creative vision and strategic leadership for the FanFeedr website and associated services.
  • Before founding FanFeedr, Ty served as SVP, Strategy and Product Development at Viacom, where he was the product lead and manager for
  • Previously, he was Senior Director of Cross-Platform Applications at Comcast, where he provided strategic planning for the broadband portal Comcast.net, built the first Web 2.0 application for cable companies at http://www.tvplanner.net, and was responsible for interactive entertainment applications that leveraged the PC and the cable set-top box.
  • Earlier in his career, Ty was Creative Director, Excite@Home (nee @Home Networks), where he led the company's creative efforts for broadband, interactive television and client software.
  • Ty holds a bachelor's degree from Haverford College and a master's degree from Columbia.

Michael Bayer - Technology Architect

  • Michael Bayer comes to FanFeedr with over fifteen years' experience designing and developing enterprise-level Web applications, development frameworks and database technologies. His responsibilities for FanFeedr include the design, architecture and implementation of the core technology stack, as well as serving as leader and code mentor for the development team. Before FanFeedr, Michael was senior technical architect at Method, where he rearchitected and redesigned the popular charlierose.com website. Prior to his tenure at Method, Michael was Director, Technology at SEC Ventures, an enterprise technology services firm, where he was responsible for technology architecture, database schema development and management, and back-end infrastructure for the company's suite of Web applications.
  • Earlier, Michael was Director of Content Management Systems at MLB.com, where he served as primary architect, code mentor, and manager for a staff of six, responsible for implementing and maintaing all database-managed content systems used for mlb.com, all MLB team sites (e.g. yankees.com), as well as similar services for minorleaguebaseball.com, majorleaguesoccer.com, and collegesports.com.
  • Michael is also an advocate and leading framework architect within the Python community. His SQLAlchemy ORM and Mako templating framework are best-of-breed technologies for Python web development, and along with the Pylons framework form the core of the FanFeedr technology stack.
  • Michael is a graduate of SUNY Stony Brook, where he received a double degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.

Michael Bourke - Product Development, UX Design and Development

  • With nearly 20 years’ experience in product and interface design, technology strategy, and web development, Michael is responsible for designing and developing FanFeedr.com's user experience. Before joining FanFeedr, Michael most recently served as Director, Technology Strategy for Method, with responsibilities for developing strategies and solutions in rich Internet applications, online video, and mobile platforms. Prior to his engagement there, Michael was Director, User Experience for SEC Ventures, a boutique technology services firm, where he led the development of innovative Web-based interfaces for financial services clients including IFL and Blackrock.
  • Earlier, Michael was Director of Online Solutions for WatchIT, an e-learning provider, where he was responsible for moving the company’s extensive content library from videotape and CD-ROM to Internet streaming video. Prior to that he worked with Giga Information Group as an Internet strategy consultant, where he authored white papers, presentations and proofs of concept for B2C and B2B marketplace technologies. As a consultant to financial services and insurance companies, he led several advanced technology projects, including the development of a wireless data-gathering application using the Apple Newton and a pioneering HTML-based interface for Lotus Notes.
  • Michael began his career at Seer Technologies, where he served as product manager and creative director. There he was responsible for providing message and program consistency for Seer's worldwide marketing efforts, helping Seer’s worldwide annual revenue grow from $19.5m to $70m in the space of two years.
  • Michael is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he studied literature, linguistics, computer science and philosophy.

Sangraal Aiken - Search and Mobile

  • Sangraal is responsible for developing, maintaining and tuning FanFeedr's search engine as well as providing product design and development for mobile devices. He comes to us most recently from Gawker Media where he worked as one of two back-end Java developers managing the development of their aggregation and search features.
  • He has been programming professionally for over 10 years and has worked developing search systems based on SOLR/Lucene for the last three years.

Doug Tabuchi - Core Technologies

  • Doug is responsible for primary development of FanFeedr's core feature set, from integration with information providers to design and implementation of fantasy sports interactivity, social gaming and other initiatives. In addition to his other activities, Doug serves as general manager of FanFeedr's West Coast offices.
  • Prior to joining FanFeedr, Doug was Software Engineer at Inform Technologies.

Lucas Hrabovsky - APIs and Platform Development

  • Lucas comes to Fanfeedr with over six years' experience designing and engineering cutting-edge consumer web applications. His responsibilities for Fanfeedr include feature development and maintenance of API, managing the developer community, and playing center field. Prior to Fanfeedr, Lucas was the CTO of Amie Street, a digital music retailer funded by Amazon.com, where he was responsible for product development, front end engineering and database and application engineering. Lucas is a graduate of Brown University where he received his degree in Business Economics.

Greg Schneider - Aggregation Factotum

  • Greg actively manages FanFeedr's various content source lists, helping us distinguish blogs about Miami of Florida from blogs about Miami of Ohio (among many other content sources, institutions, teams and leagues).
  • Before FanFeedr, Greg worked for Clear Channel Radio, as well as for the then-expansion New York Titans franchise of the National Lacrosse League. He was formerly Sports Editor of The Student Voice, a monthly publication at the University at Albany.
